The Hintertuxer glacier is a glacier in the Austrian Alps. It is located in the Tuxertal, a side valley of the Zillertal, in the province of Tyrol. The glacier has an area of approx. 57 km² and is the only glacier in Austria with guaranteed snow all year round.
It is primarily known for its ski areas and numerous hiking trails. The Hintertux glacier is a popular excursion destination and an important tourist attraction. A large part of the glacier area is protected within a national park.
